Forest School

Forest School develops the physical, social, cognitive, linguistic and emotional aspects of the learner, through activities such as shelter building, fire lighting, using tools, bushcraft, identification of flora and fauna, natural art. Can be booked in 6 week blocks in Park View 4U’s woodland or at your site.

Beach School

A unique outdoor learning experience to engage children and young people with the Fylde coast through exploring the variety of habitats, sand dunes, mud dipping, strandline searches, species identification, land art, beach cleans, coastal defences, practical conservation and games. Delivered in Partnership with Lancashire Wildlife Trust and Fylde Sand Dunes Project.

Eco Education

Our education team create bespoke sessions on a wide range of environmental subjects including – invertebrates and habitats, Seeds and how they travel, Stone Age, Bees and pollination, bushcraft, campfire cooking, Kitchen Garden -food growing and composting, planting for wildlife, traditional tales and storytelling, pirate days, shelters and camouflage, environmental art, food chains and life cycles, plants and their uses. 

Training

We deliver a wide range of CPD training courses for teachers, outdoor educators, park rangers and Forest & Beach School leaders. If you wish to develop your skills or gain confidence in using your site for outdoor education then please contact us.  We also run Inset days and twilight sessions.

Eco Pod

Our Eco Community Centre is used for education, weekly classes and events. Facilities include a projector and screen, kitchenette, sensor LED lighting, chairs and tables. It has A+ energy rating, solar panels, air source heat pump, and is insulated with recycled bottles and FSC wood shavings. If you wish to book our Eco Pod please contact us.

Wild Wellbeing

Join us in the woodland for some ecotherapy and reconnect with nature. Research shows how mental and physical health can be improved by spending time outdoors, we offer a wide range of activities to help people engage with the natural world and share moments of awe, calm and joy around the campfire.

Outdoor Art

Get creative using natural materials with a wide range of art workshops including land art in the woods or on the coast, creating natural pigments, campfire pewter jewellery, botanical inks and dyes, cordage, printing, papermaking, whittling and more. 

Junior Herbalist

An incredible opportunity for children age 7-12 years to become accredited Junior Herbalists. They will learn about the medicinal properties of plants, harvest them from our kitchen garden and then create something to take home, from lavender sugar to lip balms, bath bombs to throat lozenges. All sessions delivered by Mel Hornby MNIMH and supported by the National Institute of Medical Herbalists.

Forest Tots

Start the week in the woods with your little ones. Forest Tots is a way to engage your children with exploring the outdoors and seasonal changes around the park.  Each session includes activities, drinks and snacks around the campfire.
